Cool

Well, after being surrounded by loads of silver scoobs with coded mirrors....I just *had* to spray mine today

What an easy job getting the door panels off (to un-plug the mirror wires) and then just 3 screws, lemon-squeezy

Anyway, all silver now !

Yes, I 'wet&dried' them, washed them and used Halfords Plastic primer...followed by Halfords 'Custom matched' paint and finished off with Halfords Laquer.

Did it in my garage with a heater on...dried with a shine so must have been about right

HKS, yeah...as I said, I had a heater (electric so dry heat) on, this helps the 'curing' process.
Cold and damp air causes problems, as does spraying outside in the summer, good temps but too much dust, pollen and insects!!!

The wheels are OZ super Ls with Pirellis on.

Cheers

Thankyou Mike

No, I tilted the glass so that I could mask over the 'edge' of the glass...I used masking tape and 'pushed' it down into the gap with a flat 'driver.

Does that make sense?

MD, I have a few questions: exactly how many cans of paint & primer did you use? what grade of wet & dry did you use? How long did it take for you to rub the mirrors down before you primed them?. How long did it take each coat of paint to dry & how many coats did you use?
Did you apply the paint in an up&down motion, or left&right motion?
Did you rub it down between coats using a circular motion or rub-on, rub-off, motion, Daniel-San?
Was the garage door open or closed, and finally, how much did all the products cost in total? ie; primer, paint, wet&dry, cost of running electric heater etc.

Only joking
