Tuesday i picked up my new WRX at my subaru dealer in the Netherlands (Reinaerdts Autosport).

I have driven about 250 miles with it now, and i must say it's fantastic !!!.

Before the WRX i owned a Impreza GT Turbo MY00. The chassis feels harder then the GT Turbo. But cause of the extra weight, the WRX feels just a bit slower. But i am still running the engine in, so no more then 4000 rpm till now. Cant wait till i have run the engine in.

This is my WRX :

Mods so far :

- OZ Prodrive P1 17" 215/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza
- White side markers and reflectors
- Magnex stainless steel exhaust (pictures coming soon !)
- Magnex stainless steel mid-section

More pictures :

My next modification will probably be an endwing, maybe this one :

Question

Why don't they come with spoilers in the Netherlands?

The wrx is available with or without endwing in the Netherlands. But the only endwing that is available is the low model. I prefer the higher endwing models, like the one above.

Greetings Bart.

There are a few reasons for no spoiler as standard in Dutch
cars but I think the main one is avoiding paying the Dutch
new car tax (BPM) for the price of the spoiler. Since the
BPM is around 40% of the tax free price you end up getting
the whole car cheaper if the spoiler (and air-con and a lot
of other stuff) are optional extras fitted at the dealer.

Other possible reasons:
- Some people just don't want to pay the extra price for the
spoiler. After all it has very little effect in the way the
car drives.
- Some people just don't want a spoiler in their car.
- Some people want a huge WRC-style wing (available as
accessory directly from importer just like the "normal"
style spoiler).

BTW Bart, how is the sound of that Magnex ? And what kind of
price you paid for it ?

I'm looking for something that would be a bit more free flowing
than the standard backbox but it should not have too loud noise.

Hello Jah,

the magnex has a nice sound, not too hard, and not too soft. Its between a supersprint and a scoobysport. When u want information about the exhaust or prices send an email to Chris : c.douma2@chello.nl

He can give u a good deal on the magnex exhaust.

Heres mine.

Want to get the exhaust uprated from standard too - whats the general recommendation, what BHP affect will it have & how much should I pay?

Looks more like 6"x4" to me, but it's hard to tell from the pics. That tailpipe is the biz though, I reckon it's the best looking design for the scooby both classic and bugeye models.

Cool

Guys- the pink scoob grill badge looks really good on silver FUGLY's - I'll post pics of mine! ADP glad you posted pics of yours as I was looking at putting the white repeater/reflector set on - where did you get yours from?

regret to say I shelled out at the subaru garage for mine, they are silly money, about 90 quid to do repeaters and reflectors - dead easy to fit though do it yourself job. normally in stock too.

andy - I reckon the garage is cheapest - looking at GG/Scoobysport they seem to be even more expensive
