After seeing these its time I came clean...
It was a short but fun journey into the Subaru fold; 3 weeks.
Decided to take the car for a jet wash one sunny Sunday evening, left the garage, came to the first bend 100 yards down the road and...spin time.
Unfortunately collected a BMW coming the other way, otherwise would have probably ened up with no more than a red face sitting facing the wrong way.
Anyway nobody was hurt, insurance have now settled.
Moral of the story: Beware soapy wet tyres

Eventually it was written off, I think due to the fact that on top of the panel damage, the cambelt snapped causing internal damage. Its better that way, at least I don't have to worry about selling a car with a history now...
One of my friends run a small Audi,VW breakers, so sometimes I tag along when he goes to the closed auction at Universal Salvage.
I've seen a few written off Scoobs going through there with what I would call very minimal frontal damage, alot less than mine anyway. Seems nobody wants to jig cars nowadays.
I think DirectLine use Universal so I'll keep my eyes open for my car going through just to see how much it makes. I'm pretty certain it will end up back on the road.

I did a similar thing to my Tegra, er a tyre wall though.
Not really that much damage, but needed a new shell so written off.(the best way)
Bit of a battle with the insurers too, read 7 months
this is turning into "made a mess of it corner isnt it"
anyone else ;-)

HKSubaru: guy went off the official track on a snow track on the lake and managed to find a place with the ice a little thinner than required to carry a vehicle
