Default My '08 STI Hatch

Just a little update on my STI hatch. Been to Revolution for new wheels, tyres and Eibach Springs today and managed to get a few pics before it gets too dark.

Wheels are 18" x 8.5 ET44 Rota Grid Drift in Matt Bronze, not that you can tell in these pics, with 245/40 Yokohama Advan Sport V105 tyres. It's also had a full Fast Road Geometry done as well.

Notice something missing? Yep, got rid of the red fog light. The lights will be tinted red round the outside soon and a LED bulb for the fog light

Looks very nice ,, how does the suspension feel compared to how it was standard , thinking of some springs but don't want it too hard a ride

I like the ducts as mine doesn't have fogs, I fancy doing something with the space and this might be the answer

What make is the front splitter? Did you fit it and if so how difficult was it?

To be fair I've not really noticed any difference, it's no more or less jittery or bouncy than the OE suspension. I think that's why Subaru chose Eibach to provide the upgrade springs under the Pro-R brand.

They're great though quite expensive, I bought mine from the states as even with import duty they were cheaper than over here.

My splitter is a genuine STI one. Costs a fair bit as you'd expect from Subaru, fitting was easy, just a bit awkward for me as I'm a bit too big to get under it instructions and fittings come with the splitter so all you need is tools

It looks great BULLITT and the drop does appear to be about 20mm which looks pretty much bang on and as it should have looked from the factory.
I don't suppose you know the actual part number of the springs?

How did the remap go?

Thanks I don't know it but I have the box with my old springs in the garage I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know, but these are the ones I have.

The car is still at AET having the exhaust, induction kit and mapping done. They have a few race cars which take priority. They've started on mine today and it should be all done next week.

Got the Impreza back from AET Motorsport and its a completely different animal now and makes all of the right noises! I won't have the Dyno print out until Tuesday but it was pushing 311bhp at the hubs so quite increase from before!

Hyperflow HF Induction kit
RCM Sump Baffle Kit
Turbosmart Fuel Pressure Regulator
Turbosmart Wastegate Actuator
Turbosmart Recirc Valve
Full Milltek Sport Exhaust
Customer remap

One thing that I stipulated is that it had to look as OE as possible which meant there was not to be any anodised blue or red or chrome bits in the engine bay.

Today I gave it a much needed clean and added the last bit. Old School Tyre stencil!

I know the Speedhunters stencils won't be to many peoples taste but I like them and the break up the dark wheels and tyres.

Been to AET Motorsport today to pick up the dyno printout and also had a little tweak of the mid range but overall very very happy with it, the key thing is that it's a safe and reliable increase. Quality work is top notch and aftersales support is outstanding!

Actual peak figures at the hubs are;
307.7bhp
354.2lbft

They use a reserved 15% transmission lose calculation which tend to agree with realistically so it's around 360bhp mark and 415lbft ish at a very rough guess.

Don't do it! IMO they look awful. Really cheapens the look of Bullit's car.

Light Masks done. Got rid of the awful clear style. These were custom cut and fitted by Sticky Stuff (SN Member) at his company Shytot Graphics, not the usual pre-cut ones that seem to never fit correctly (This isn't my opinion, just that of the people that have tried to fit them).

That's pretty much it for now with the car, my aim is 400/400 at the wheels, so next step is a big one which might take some time to get saved up for but I'll get there.

Looks good, still got my light overlays sat in the tube. Waiting for a warm day with no wind and when I'm feeling patient!

What have you done for your fog?
I've tried a couple of red LED bulbs but they just aren't as bright as a standard fog light.

I've used one of the LED bulbs, didn't have any other choice really as there's nothing else. it's still a foglight after all.
