my new v2 wrx wagon
Hi guys thought i would share some pics of my new wagon after my UK wagon turned out to be rather rotten (both rear archesinner and outer, both sills and rear quarters) i decided it was time to find another.
Was offered this clean wrx sa import for a decent price and am amazed athow clean it was when i picked it up (compared to my rotten uk model lol) because its a wrx sa it didnt come with the usual bucket seats but i soon robbed them from my other scoob lol heres a few pics of when it was picked up.
When it was picked up it leaked oil and horn wasnt working so ive fixed the horn and had tim from subbus comeand fit new cam and crank seals, clean and tighten oil pump screws, and fit new cam and aux belts (great bloke and done an excellent job for a great price)
I have facelifted the front so far and will be getting facelift bumpers too.
Gave it a good clean
Then fitted a big bonnet scoop and a nice shiney belt cover
Im yet to save to have it all sprayed yet but im sorting little bits out as i go,it is a shame its an auto but i will be doing a manual swap around april, i love the wagons and was please to fine a good untouched version (until i got my hands on it) and was very suprised how cheapthe insurance is on it compared to my v3 UK turbo.

Thats fine guys thanks for the comments, everyone has their own tastes which is good I quite like the facelift front and the big scoop and I also like the orange sidelights its a bit different to the others ive seen around my town, tho having said that they are not permanent so if I decide to change at least it will be a quick swap

The newage STi top mount intercoolers are the best ones around at their price range. They only start to become a limitation when your reach 450hp+ but for you this shouldnt be a problem and would be a worthwhile upgrade.
The only slight issue is that your impreza is the pre-facelift and has its intercooler in an awkawrd position compared to how the STi intercooler fits. It can be done (think theres a thread about it on here) but will require a bit more time and some maneuvering. Although any later TMIC will be in the same position and hence will still require modification. You can indeed purchase a used ARC for your exact model ,which should be an easy swap, but are quite rare and cost a fair few £££'s.
P.S Nice example you have there and its nice to see other rare-ish models on the UK roads
