I should take mine off to straighten the bent fins but as I am planning to front mount soon I can't be bothered!

What products are you going to use to clean it?

Some inspiration, I put mine in the shower sprayed the fins which got millions of dead flys out, straightened the fins with some tweezers and sprayed it with Hammerite, I cut a bit of cardboard to place over the fins and voila looks amazing again

Hi i used petrol and brake cleaner then blew dry with airline throughout the intercooler easily took 2 gallons of petrol to clean it a few times inside but the stuff that came out was horrible but mixed with the petrol so looked more than was in there but after 3 swirls it was running clean..i would say the two little black metal pipes that run along the front had more crud in them

The steps I posted is as easy as it gets mate, when refitting tho I strongly suggest abit of wd40 or similar to lube the pipes up or it can be a pita to get back on

It is straight forward if your car minded two 12mm bolts one each end of intercooler ..two 12mm bolts holding dumpvalve onto housing then undo hose clip on throttle body end and hose clip from pipe to turbo housing..pull off the black breather pipes three in total and vac hose from dumpvalve and wiggle out :0 i did remove centre section of strut brace for more clearance
