Default Dash & Heater Control LED Conversion

Just wondering if anyone has done the LED conversion for bugeye Clocks & Heater control unit. I believe that it's T5 Led's for the clocks, I just don't know what bulbs I need for heater controls. Any help would be great

I'm just doing the heater controls on my blobeye so not sure if its the same, but I've ordered 4 of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1910157403...84.m1497.l2649. 4 bulbs cover the 3 dials and 3 buttons from what I can tell after taking my heater controls apart.

Agreed, I've ordered these bad boys in red to try and combat dog sick green http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...edge-base/228/
I tried some plain red leds and they worked but just not bright enough, these should hopefully do the trick.

Make sure you post some photos when there fitted mate, would like to see how you get on with them :-) I wonder if the dials will suffer with heatspots?

No worries dude, hopefully they are the same ones for you. Fingers crossed I should have mine next week (and that they are bright enough). I can let you know how they look before you buy if you like to be sure.

I will post some photos of the dials when I've got them in (hopefully they should arrive next week as well). I'm hoping no heatspots but more than likely knowing my luck. I'm thinking because they have a 360 degree angle, they'll be equally bright behind all the dials . It might work

ive just done my cluster gauge on my Bugeye this evening in blue for £1.89 ,,,lol

these are a direct fit ,,just pop the old bulb out of the holder and put the new led in its place and twist it back into the circuit board http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2210356787...84.m1439.l2649

gonna do the heater bulbs tomorrow ,,speedo looks so much better,,although getting that green teal **** off the gauges was a real ballache ,,worth it for the final result though.

I was going to use those 19mm ebay ones posted earlier in this thread but as the original ones are a tad longer I read that they leave the AU in auto a bit dull unless sanded so I'm gonna get some LEDs from maplin and put them in the original housing and see how that pans out first,,looks easy enough ,,I'll be back home from work at 4 so I'll let you know if it worked out ok,,

Hey steve , do you think green ones would work ok ? (to save removing the filter) I have green pillar gauges and they are so much brighter than the dash. I did upgrade the origional bulbs to a higher wattage but it only improved it a bit.

Also , are there any bright spots on yours ? Stick up some pics if you don't mind.

yeah i recon for £1.89 its worth a try ,,,i wouldnt know how close of a match they are to your pillar gauges but they are so cheap it would be rude not to have a go ,,lol

there are a few bright spots in there but at the moment im thinking it looks ok ,,they might start doing my head in after a while though so im going to order a few more different types of LEDs just to see what difference in light they give off,,plus i need to sort the green digital screens out on the cluster gauge & clock

here's some pics you asked for
