clifford blackjax first day ownership-cant find solution
Hi, I just bought a sti type uk.. owner briefly showed the system to me as the battery was flat, got the car towed home, ready for mot tomorrow with a new battery..
But it locked itself in and I cant understand what to do...
I press the fob-car opens up
Clifford keeps flashing
Close the door
Put the key in ignition and move it to ignition position (lights dont come on, clifford keeps flashing)
Enter the code on the 2 button touch pad but nothing changes...
So I cant even switch the ignition on etc...
Guys I have a mot booked tomorrow morning... desperate to get it sorted...any advice at all?
Kind regards
Dimitry

I haven't got blackjax on my Clifford - but - I put key into ignition, turn to start position and then press fob again and system lights up.
are u entering code on plain swith correctly
press to 'star' button requisite number of times, then press plain switch once
repeat for next number
manual for a 650 here

If I put the key in ignition turn it to ignition and press the button-it locks me in (as if closes the doors and lights flash)
Code is supposed to be 4 times top button.. 1 time bottom button (im taking it out somehow anyway, as I cant have it due to my gates at work, and me driving without opening the drivers door)

You can put it in valet mode if you keep your finger pressed on the last button for 3_5 seconds.
As you enter you button code the light should flash then if you keep it held then it should stay illuminated.
Bit black jax doesn't stop it starting. It's an anti theft. It operates off the brake pedal and door opening
Iirc pressing both buttons on the Clifford fob together should also put it in a valet mode.

No, thats the valet switch, you need the key fob to disable the alarm, the valet switch is there to disable the anti hijack/put the car into valet mode but you need the alarm off first, key fob for that, did you get 2 with the car or none?

Na that's for different system mine never had one, you still having issues?
Thats the reply I got about that other remote
This video is desperate as phone ran out of charge too!
so :
i unlock it
close the door
put the key in and turn to ignition
press the one and only button on the key itself and a light flashes in the centre on the left (by the clock)
then i key in the code that is 4 times top 1 time bottom... and the previous owner says the clifford light should blink atleast once to say- accepted.. but it doesnt...
thats all im doing now
but the first time i tried it in the day i had a issue like this- and thats what i had trouble coming out of as the ignition would not come on at all
(im not sure did it do it before or not) but when i started it before
it started well.. drove up and down a few meters, stopped.. and it started making this strange beeping... i tried typing in the code quick it didnt have any of that, switched off the engine/ignition and started alarming for a annoying amount of time)

It wouldnt have worked, he probably forgot to give them to you, the fob on the key isnt correct, thats the standard subaru one, you need the fob(s) as shown in that picture, there should be 2 with the 650, so best give the previous owner a call and ask if they have the key fobs, if they say no then you best fit a steering lock asap and go find your local clifford supplier
Oh, is it only the black jax you have or the full 650 system?

Ok, lets try this again.
If its JUST the anti hijack unit then do this>>>
Get in car, close door, start car.
Code should be 3 digits long, the example is 1 2 3.
So to use this you find the button with the nobbly bit on, press it once for 1, press the bottom button once, top twice, bottom once, top 3 times, bottom once, on this last one the light will light up and then go off, thats the anti hijack disabled

You can have black jax on its own,
It works like this,
Everytime the doors opens, the next brake pedal press starts the system counting down, if you don't input the code in time, it will flash the brake lights then stall with the alarm going off.

It has to be a 3 figure number for the anti hijack, it may be the number 111 so that would be nobbly button once, bottom button, nobbly button, bottom button, nobbly button, bottom button.
You can have numbers like 003 which would be the bottom button twice then the top then the bottom one or it could be 300 which would be the top button 3 times and the bottom button 3 times but it will be a 3 figure number.

Answer from the owner:
Looked at it mate but i been pressing 4 top 1 bottom for 10 years mate it's a deffo and never had a fob but break Pedel activation jogged me it's that system that starts the timer, I really think you need to just restart by removing batt 90% sure when you key press then do code lights will flash either that or let it go off and try code then Clifford light will flash

not sure if any of this might help but:
Will battery disconnect make a difference?
when the alarm is DEACTIVATED after entering the code- the clifford light will blink once wont it?
will it reset the code after having battery off? full imobilisation on? do i need to try this then enter the code????
does it activate itself after i start up the car and press the brake withing 20sec? :S does that mean i cant drive for 20sec after starting it?
i heard a laptop can be plugged in? how? where?
how to find out what highjack device i have???
cam o slice one of the cables on the alarm horn until i figure it out? (atleast it wont wake up half of my neighborhood )
This is totally doing my head in, and i dont think a 2003 scooby needs a device like that, want to take it out ASAP, how can it be done? is it a DYI or anyone who could help in southampton area?
feeling EXTREMELY stupid on this ... but this highjack is too much to handle
Thanks for all the input.. hope i can still make it to the mot tomorrow 9am ;/

this might be funny as f***
but this video made the most sence to me since getting the car DDDDDD
but my code is still
4 clicks of the *button
1 click of the bottom button
not double digit like others have :S
worst thing is- having a mot at 9am, and only loads of houses around doesnt help trying it out oh well, will have to give it a go i guess?

To disarm it the door needs to be opened....
And I think when I entered it twice it came off..
Just in time for mot I guess???
