basically I want this electrical piece of gash removed from my impreza wrx 95 import. I have no real need for it as drive of boost for a couple of miles before I turn my vehicle of. Also you cannot lock the car whilst its timing so whats the point!

is it just a case of disconnecting it all?

All you need to do is follow the wiring from the timer to the loom and it will be plugged in using a multi pin connector. Disconnect that and job done
