oil and temp gauges going crazy
Why are my oil and temperature gauges jumping up and down like mad. I've noticed that when i press my cigarette lighter in they both settle down, well till it pops out again. this has only started happening in the last few weeks. can anyone help.. cheers

Make of gauges?
Electrical or mechanical?
Car?
Model?
Year?
Who fitted them?
Most likely is that you have a loose connection. You could trace the wiring and see if any are loose.
Depending on what make of gauges and how they are wired, I could be of more help.
