Where will i find the light switch wire V5 Classic
Just wondering where and what colour wire this will be for wiring up my prosport gauges
Also the wiring instructions talks about a 12 v dimming connection for night use, but i don't think the V5 TypeR has a dashboard light dimming function does it ?
Any help will be appreciated
Steve

Light switch wire can be found behind ANY lit switch, or control, so HRW, Hazards, etc, plus heater illumination. Mine are wired off the hazard light switch, where I also picked up a permanent live
Nip to a car-shop and buy a cheap circuit tester. They are around £4, come with a sharp point on one end of a brass body, and about 1200mm of wire with a croc clip on the end. Clip to an earth point, use the sharp probe to touch connections, or preferably to pierce the insulation of wires, behind the chosen switch, until you get a live: the bulb in the brass handle lights up.
Then, obviously, you try switching sidelights on/off, (remember the ignition switch), and check that your live is no longer live with lights off.
Job's a good'un.
Nope, sorry, no dimming function
