Default Newbie first post remote locking

Hi to all here I hope you can help me

Ive just bought a 1998 turbo wagon and Im very pleased with it but it needs remote central locking badly. Im thinking of buying a rightclick unit and a new driver door motor. Thats the easy bit. Ive got electric windows 4 switch unit on the arm rest. How do i get the door card off, what problems are there and what colour wires pos neg pulse once i get inside. Is there an easy point to tap into the right wires in the car, if so where? the speaker in that door is fuzzy too so ill change that also if Im able to remove card ok.

all help really welcome

Pull the window switch up (from the front of the switch only - the rear is on a lug that will break if you lever up from the back of the switch) and disconnect.
Undo the screw hidden behind the window switch.
Pop out the small square screw cover and undo the screw behind it.
Pull of the trim around the door handle (it will be tight - might help to remove the screw holding the handle still, then slide the handle backwards to relaese).
Gently lever off the triangle mirror cover plate.
Pull out the bottom of the door card and you'll hear the poppers releasing.
Lift the card off vertically.
