Blue Top Vs Yellow Top Car Batteries
Hi Guys,
I need to get a new battery and I had alway thought I'd just get a Yellow top, but from doing a little bit of reading I'm no longer sure.
The blue top which is advertised as a boat, RV battery has the same cranking power as the yellow top, it has more connecting terminals and it is generally cheaper to.
I can't see any benifit of get the yellow top battery?
I don't fancy the red top, as although you can get ones with more cranking power the longivity isn't there to run my ICE.
Blue or Yellow?

Think I'm going to get a blue one. Its going in the boot anyway so the reverse terminal isn' an issue.
I just can't figure out why the blue is so much cheaper if its the same as the yellow.

I have a red top on my 02 STI..
never had a problem starting it since.. usually the trackers/immobiliser/alarms drain the battery especially if you leave your alarm on for 1-2 weeks at a time!
no problems with a red top - turn the key and fires up straight away
expensive batteries but worth it in my opinion, the 6 cylinders look very different to your usual battery!
