Default Blobeye Hid problem

I've bought a hid kit for my blobeye sti

I've fitted kits to my other cars before with no problems.

I tryed them by putting the power leads on the battery before i fitted them in the headlights and they worked fine, so fitted them in and turned the lights on and would'nt work, so i tryed all different ways, changing bulbs and ballast etc so i took them out and tryed them on the battery and they worked straight away.

had to put the original bulbs back in now

Any ideas what it could be?

Is there a relay in the kit?

Yes, some Blobs seem to be wired the wrong way around.

AFAIK, (correct me if I'm wrong here BOB), there can only be a trigger wire, a wire from battery to relay via fuse, then one from relay to ballast, and an earth wire,? the others are not the sort of wires you can get wrong, ballast to lamps?

Yes, the OE wires to the bulbs seem to be the wrong way around, which means the feed for the HIDs is incorrect.

Simply....

The positive feed is permanent, and the earthed side is switched.

Opposite to the European way of thinking.

IMHO
