Default Side lights are yellow??

The Scooby has been crystalised (pics to follow once I detango the bumper) and have a HID kit installed too which is top notch. However my side lights are still coming out yellowish. Really ruins the whole look when the lights are on as the HID gives it a nice crisp white/blue light.

Iv been to my local car parts place and their lights were cr*p, although he assured me they would give a whiter look and the packaging had blue this, and white that all over it

What can I do to get the side lights sorted?

T.

These work well.

Philips Blue Vision W5W from Power Bulbs

Philips Blue Vision W5Ws.

TBH, if your existing sidelights were anything like mine, a couple of candles would have had a brighter light and a higher colour temperature.

The side lights are just the normal standard bulbs. Went to a car parts shop on my way back from work and picked up a set of Osram bulbs which turned out to be a complete waste of money and time as they didnt make a difference at all. Have now ordered a set of LED`s from HIDS4U sister site autobulbsdirect.co.uk.

J, yeh the bulbs did look like a candle, wasnt happy at all

20withascooby, thanks mate but Iv ordered them now. Hopefully turn up in next couple days

If you get the 501 bulb for a vw touareg they are blue but light up bright white ( i have them in mine ) the part number is N0177538 they are £3.74 each but are defanatly worth it(just noticed still cheaper than the aftermarket type which i thought looked pants) . any vw main dealer should be able to surply (i work for one if you were wondering)
