O2 sensor on the 2nd cat of a newage
does the cable from the sensor go to a plug socket at some point or does it go directly into the ECU. I want to connect a Air/fuel gauge into the line but dont want to splice into the cable, i would rather piggyback a connection at the plug socket if there is one.

Yes there is a plug about 12" from the sensor - you'd never get the exhaust off otherwise!
There is a plastic cover on the nearside of the car (underneath) which has a small flap which covers the connection. It might be easier to remove the whole cover - about 6 push in fittings.
