Fuel Guage
I think i am right in saying that the 2 senders in the tank are for above half a below half, now, if the below half one wasnt giving a signal would the guage read the top half as a full tank??
Reason being, from full to empty on the guage i got 220 miles, but i didnt actually run out of fuel until 380 miles!!!
I did it twice to be sure, the first time i ran out at 355 miles, 380 the second time!
This was on a run to scotland and back over the wkend, and the car never actually died, it just spluttered a lot!! I know there is no crap in the tank cos i have had it open!
This hasnt just started either, it was doing it before i opened the tank up.
Can i repair the potentiometer or do i need to replace the whole thing??
Is it the left hand side one?? without the pump on it??
Thanks Mike
