Default AFR gauge help plz

I've recently received my AFR gauge and decided to fit this yesterday, following the instructions that came with the gauge i fitted the normal red (+) and black (-) to the stereo system, the dimmer wire was connected to the + of the clock and gauge works fine its switched on with the welcome thing that it does and it dims when the headlights are switched on. however the problem that i am having is that i have connected the grey wire to the o2 sensor signal on the ecu, pin 6 of the 22 pin plug (dark green wire) and have driven the car around for a long period of time hoping that the gauge would show some life however all it does is rest the needle past the rich section of the gauge with no movement what so ever.

any opinions of feedback would be greatly appreciated

thanks

mo

I guess your Lambda is the standard one in which case I'm pretty sure it'll be a narrow band Lambda.
for an AFR gauge, you need a WIDEBAND Lambda
