Recommend? Depends for what? And for what car?
Whatever you buy, DO be aware that ALL aftermarket kits are illegal to sell, FIT and USE on UK roads.
DON'T be taken in by stuff about your car passing an MoT: it might, but it WILL be illegal if you are stopped by a diligent copper.
For other advice, try a search, there was a long thread recently.

There are lots of kits out there of varying quality.
The one on the GB is a very good bit of kit and with a good aftersales service too https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...-groupbuy.html
Of all the GB ones sold, no-one has had any problems, and there has been quite a few kits sold now.
I've had mine for about 20months now, again without any issues.
Stay sensible with the bulb selection (I recommend 4300k which is pure brilliant white, 6k is the most popular, which gives a good white light with a hint of blue - I run the 4300k on my cars).
In terms of legality - it falls under the same draconian legislation as any non-standard exhaust. Nobody that I know of on the GB has had any issues, nor the wider HID market (and thats a lot of HID kits out there).
Again, no problems for anyone on the GB getting them through an MOT either.
Have a read over on the GB thread for peoples thoughts - you can always ask questions over there and get answers from people that actually have them fitted.

Some feedback from people on the GB:
Cheers,
Bob
I had mine aligned today at a MOT test station who i have known the guys who own it since i can remember...
The height was well out... must be something to do with the difference in bulbs (or perhaps how they use the reflectors)... and to start with the pattern on 1 light was pretty awful. The guy wiggled the bulb though and it clicked and it was suddenly perfect.
Beam pattern on my Blobeye was pretty good and would MOT pass after this.... and the lights are nothing short of amasing!
I keep waiting for people to flash me, but no-one seems too.... they are soo strong its just awesome.
Thanks for the GB BOB'5... and anyone struggling with pattern, just wiggle (or get whoever is doing ur adjustment) to wiggle the back of the bulb a little because even if it felt and looked seated right it might just need a wiggle to click in still.
BOB'5 - Where is the LED GB!!!

Fitted my 8000k kit from Bob on boxing day to my classic, im really impressed with them! Just have to mount the ballasts in a good place so might take the front bumper off and do it that way.
The light is so much brighter and I also think it makes the car look more modern if that makes sense.
Just have to get new sidelights now!
Thanks for the hassle free transaction

Due to cicumstances I have only just got mine fitted. VERY pleased indeed too. I de-tangoed at same time and fitted LEDs too, got one wrong way round so beware, only work one way.
HIDs are spot on and aligned exactly same as original halogens, marked my garage door to compare
Spent a little time forming the clamp to ensure bulb is held square and other than that common sense. Will try post some pics later.
Thanks Bob, top man, have a great Xmas

Firstly i would like to thank Bob for his advice over the phone (use the harness supplied)
This has to be 1 of the best mods i have done to the car the improvement over the standard lights are phenomenal, i went out on a test drive along some country lanes & was very impressed it was like daylight especially when i put main beam on

Hi niggs, if it's a classic then the units on the car aint brilliant.
On my 02 STI the Japs had HID as standard, but not U.K. spec as they aren't fitted with washers and self-levelling.
HID kit's fitted to mine are superb main beam is equal to the PIAA rally units that used to live in the front of mine.
Can't recommend them strongly enough, Thank's to BOB'5 !
