Thinking back to when I did mine, I SEEM to remember that it was yellow, MY98 UK saloon, facelift version.
HOWEVER: wiring colour codes are notorious for changing year on year, so don't take that as given, and I can't get at mine now without removing air horns and other gubbins.
Best bet is to invest in a simple circuit tester, (car shops etc). Mine is a brass thingy about the size of a biro, needle point on one end and croc clip on other. Attach croc clip to battery earth, stab point through insulation, if it lights up, you have your live Cost about £2 to buy, invaluable.
