Left hand indicators stuck on...
Hi guys this has me totally stumped. All 3 left hand indicators are stuck on, only time they go off is if I disconnect the battery. Ive disconnected the flasher relay and they still stay on. I cant seem to find any indicator fuses (not sure there are any??) and the manual is a total waste of space!
Any ideas?
Many thanks

I doubt it's the fuse but in the remote possibility that a relay is stuck or something else totally wierd is happening, you could always try pulling the fuse... it's known as the 'Turn signal light'. The fuse panel will be located behind the coin holder (or whatever it is) that's situated in front of your right knee. It pulls out to open... pull again and it comes out to show you some fuses. A UK MY00 Impreza has fuse '18' for this, rated at 15A.
Keep us posted.

Guys, thanks for the excellent replies. Looks like it is the alarm, its the standard fit one from Subaru. Have managed to get the lights off by turning the alarm on and off via the key fob! Where can I find the alarm so that I can check the relays as this sounds like the most likely cause?? (email me pls if you dont want to post the info on here for obvious reasons bwalledge@gmail.com)

Try knocking the alarm unit whilst the indicators are stuck on - if they go out it could be the relay in the alarm ECU.
Due to type/construction it would be hard to get hold of the relay, so you could be looking at a new ECU (SACC 3465 iro £70 from a Subaru dealer) - a later ECU would also be resistant to Radio Lock Out if thats any consolation.

Ah, I'm not alone then!
I occasionally get the left hand indicator stuck on, but it can usually be rectified by arming and disarming the alarm. It seems the left contact is welding shut or sticking occasionally.
Can you advise what type of relay it is? (MY01 UK WRX)

the sigma box should strip down i used to fit these alaarms a few years back.
there are 2 relays they are a bit of a pain as its a sealed relay ,but they can be open if you know what your doing . all that needs to be done is sand paper each copper contact in the relays and this will stop the relays sticking otherwise its a new unit

Hi Jason
Turns out that it was the left hand relay within the alarm causing the problem (well spotted you guys on here!). My dealers told me that the whole unit has to replaced, which I have now had done and this has seemed to fix the issue.
Rough cost of the replacment unit is £70 + VAT + fitting.
Oh and my dealers had only seen this once as well!

I've got the same sort of issue.
On my MY01 bugeye the remote alarm works but occasionally when the indicators flash to show it's been set or unlocked they will stick with them on (constantly, not flashing). It takes a couple lock's and unlocks to get them 'unstuck' and turned off when the car is unlocked.
Looks like it's the relays on the alarm - pity it needs a new unit
