Question Radar detector probs?

My Snooper radar detector is giving falase alerts when no cameras around, even when in my garage. But works fine in the wifes car.

My scoob has a Bluetooth phone kit fitted, could this be the cause?
Has anybody had the same problems?

That's weird! Wouldn't have thought that Bluetooth would interfere with the GPS receiver... Which Snooper do you have? (I'm assuming that it's GPS based?)

I've got an S4 which works perfectly in my Scoob, and in my girlfriends Focus - which has a heated windscreen!

If it's a radar detector - again, wouldn't have thought it would interfere, but I suppose it's a possibility - those things seem to go off all the time.

I bought my S4 from Montys of Sheffield (Subaru dealer) via e-bay! Excellent service - brand new sealed, and a lot cheaper than RRP - well recommended!

If you have a microwave alarm that can interfere, if it's the type which has the sensors on all the time. The solution is to put a switch on the sensors so they don't send out their signal when the alarm isn't on.

It's a Snooper 5 band thingy, not a GPS one.

Not sure about the alarm, its the standard subaru item.

Will have to call at local alarm shop at weekend and see what they say.

Cheers for the clues.

I'd consider upgrading it to a GPS based Snooper (like my S4 - which I think is better than a RoadAngel as it actually tells you the speed limit when you approach a camera).

I tried a Snooper radar detector last year (borrowed one when we went to RallyGB!) and got fed up with the thing constantly going off for no apparent reason (traffic lights etc).

Well worth the upgrade IMHO.
