Default MY98 - PIAA Lights - How do they work?

Have a MY98 as of yesterday which has had the PIAA driving lights fitted (replacing the fog lights). I've a new button inside the car fixed to the dash below the existing fog light buttons.

However, it doesn't turn the lights on. Is there some combination of buttons I need (eg, headlights + fog lights + PIAA switch) before the lights will actually come on?

I think there is probably a fault - where should I look if not the bulbs?

Main beam? As in push the indicator stalk forward?

No wonder it's not working - never though to do this. I assume this means you don't drive around with them on all the time ????

DOH!

I have a fog light button and a PIAA button. Do they do different things or is the fog light button redundant now

Regards
James

Still a little confused.

you could ride round with them on but i think you might blind people cos they are alittle on the bright side lol mine are wired through the orignal fog light switch with this pressed in ( the ON position) when you put the main beam on (indicator stick forward) the driving lamps work

Don't worry - it took me hours to figure out why my sidelights wouldn't go off

Anyway, it seems that the only way to figure this out is to fiddle about with the switches, see what works. As above, most people have wired the front fog switch to control the driving lamps, in a way that allows the driver to determine whether or not they come on when main beam is engaged.
