Default "Squeak"? On intermittent wiper...

MY04 WRX - On normal wipe all is fine, but if I switch to intermittent wipe, when the wiper returns to rest I get a faint electrical "squeak" just behind the dash??

4 intermittent modes, and it happens on all except the fastest.

It's not the wiper on the window, it's something electrical behind the dash.

Anyone else heard this? Suggestions?

It's a known issue on recent models, something to do with the relay. Give your dealer a call - although I'm not sure that a reliable fix exists.

Have they replaced the part. Mine does it as well, 04STi, what a total P**s off.

I am pretty sure another member (Pete) 'Lucky Man' I think, had this on his MY05. Yes, it's thre relay for the wipers causing it. First, get dealer to replace it under warranty. If they will not, just buy another one. A relay is not expensive so is easy to get from other sources (not just Subaru) and plug and play. Best way to do it...
