Fitting UK Rear Foglight Switch Into JDM
I have just had a go with search with no joy, so hoping someone else has done this and is willing to share...
I have a MY02 WRX which has had two wires run from the boot (spot for fog light bulb in original O/S/R light cluster. One is blue (earth?) and other is red (live?).
From what I can see, these have been "plugged" into a four pin on/off switch mouted in switch bay, to the lower right of steering wheel (normal place).
In addition, there is another red wire and and blue wire (assume being feed from headlights) so that when the lights are on, I can turn on the fog lights (also illuminating the switch bulb).
Interestingly, of the four pins on this switch, the blue and black one have been spliced onto one pin and the two red ones each have their own with the fourth pin free.
This set up works fine....but makes the dash looks crap
The joys of ebay allowed me to purchase a UK rear fog light switch but I it has six pins and I can not see a plug in the existing loom - thought there should be one?!?!
Anyway, Can someone let me know which wires go in which pins so that the UK switch illuminates the picture when sidelights are on and then activation bulb also illuminates when I turn on the fog light on please?
Yes, I do have a wiring diagram, but I find it easier to use it as a recipe for making spaghetti bolognase
