Question

Hi all

There were a few threads a while ago about bulbs blowing in Cibie driving lights.

Has this been solved now, as I feel the need to flex my flexible friend a bit more now the winter nights are getting longer...

I just fitted mine at the weekend, and my missus dropped one of the spots and broke the bulb (thankfully the only thing that broke).

But trying to track down those bulbs are impossible!!!

The only bulb i could find to fit was a 55w ring thing!

Where can you get the proper cibie 100w + 130w ones ?

Pholt... send me an SAE and I'll send you one back FOC.

CHIRK, yes the problem was solved early this year. We had switched to buying our bulbs direct from Cibie and these proved to be useless. We have since reverted to our old bulb manufacturer and they are now completely reliable again.

I'll tell you what pete.
I'll pop you a nice padded envelope in the post with some money to cover the postage and and another bulb so i always have one spare, as trying to source them was a nightmare!

how much do you need for me to get 2 130watt bulbs posted etc?

Thumbs down

How to solve the problem - buy PIAA (H3)or anything that does not use the awful H2 bulb/holder design.

Pete - i'm not having a go at you!! IMHO H2 is a masterpiece of bad design. I've lost count of the amount of H2 bulbs i've put in Oscar +/Turini Apollos over the years. I'm sure your experience is not the same or you wouldn't continue to use them.
