Default Horns

just about the only thing I dont like about my scoob is the horn, it sounds naff - a fiesta has a better horn.

So, I know the horn is behind the grill (blob eye) - any advice before I start trying to take the front end to bits.

Having a classic myself, I can't offer much advice on blobeyes, except that if it's owt like mine, there will be TWO horns, one behind the grille, and the other in the engine compartment IIRC.

Mine now has twin air-horns in front of the battery, and behind the n/s headlight...............a tight squeeze, and made removable with a wingnut if necessary.

Cheers, was thking about air horns but will prob just go for the "better" sounding horns found on BMW etc.

I used to have a really good air horn compressor, about 2 times the size of the ones you get in halfrauds and it was LOUD! If I can dig that out then I might stick that on

I fitted twin fiamm air horns as found on lambos and ferraris. The two originals can be accessed by removing the grill, IIRC they use 10mm nuts to secure in place, I used a thinner battery because of my FMIC set up this gave me space to mount the air compressor next to the now thinner battery, and the horns just below that.

Hope its of a little help m8.

Aston.
