Snooper S4 Neo - connection time?
I've just bought one of these, and it seems to be very slow on starting up. Is it normal for it to take over 15 mins to connect to the GPS system?
Seems weird - on one journey it connected in maybe 4 mins, but on the way back it took over 15.
Pretty good when it is up and running though - the speech warning tells you what is coming up, how far off it is and what speed you should be doing.

did you let it go off with the ignition?#
GPS will usually work pretty quickly if its turned on in the same place where it was turned off if that makes sense.
If you turn it on again 20 miles away, it may take a short while- 30 to 60 seconds would be more normal than 15 minutes though!
Does it have a good line of sight to the sats (ie upwards), and do you have one of those fancy coated windscreens? both can seriously affect satellite aquisition.
hope this helps,
simon

Turned it off using the dial on the side, while the ignition was still on.
Was switched on in the same place.
And the windscreen is a standard glass one from Subaru, complete with obligatory stone chips.

HELP Detector Hell.....
Currently pulling my hair out as to which GPS/ Laser detector to buy next. Had a Snooper S6R Nero with the laser mod. But it has so many wires and I need to move it from car to car sometimes. My S6 has also had connection problems so I have just sent it back.
What one next ???
How’s the S4

Had my S4 neo 3-4 days now & still very pleased.
Found the 'smart' mode handy in that it only gives an audible alert if your exceeding the speed limit (which obviously I never do )
