Default SECS data monitor, anyone using 1?

Been told about one of these at the place that did my TEK2, are they any good, or am I wasting my time ?
As I have a 00MY, thought it might help me keep an eye on my MAF as well.

Cheers for any replies.

Cheers Phil, seems to be a tidy peice if kit. Can you see it ok or is it a bit small?
And would it do the job of telling me if my MAF was failing ?

The SECS gives you a useful spread of information, but it should be considered a compliment to, rather than a replacement for, some standalone gauges.

The easiest method of monitoring the health of your MAF sensor is with a standalone AFR meter and a KnockLink.

I've got one on an MY99. I don't believe they can monitor AFR on the MY99/00 vehicles.

It is fab, highly recomended. Makes a good and much better looking substitue for standard dial guages. It records peak values too which is nice.

Totally agree with GM though, although it makes a good replacment for most guages, it wont replace an AFR or a knock link.

Edited to add;

Personally I don't think you can beat a KL for monitoring the state of your MAF or fuel quality. If you've got troubles starting it will light orange, or worst big RED
