Anyone got these fitted? I want to get rid of the useless fogs and
replace them with driving lamps. I used to have Oscar +'s some years ago and they were excellent but I like the crystal clear look of my 00 lights and want to keep that, I think the Cibe's stick out a bit too. They are also cheaper than the Cibe's.

OEM driving lights are PIAA Pro 80 's supplied with a few extra bits of wire and an additional relay from Prodrive.
Cost a small fortune from a dealer Circa £300, but cheap as chips (approx half price) if you keep your eyes peeled on the "for sale" section. I believe there are a few other suppliers selling them but cant state any as I went down the "for sale" route.
One of the best mods going IMHO - turns night into day and all linked to you main beam with an override switch.

Chris
P.s. You can't get clear covers for them either (come with white covers) - but you can adapt the oem covers to fit - this thread explains more

Thanks for the reply.

I priced them and they are £165 +vat Chris. They may have reduced the price. Are they easy to set up and can you put in 100w bulbs?

If you're talking about the PIAAs then they're 120W bulbs.

Derek,
That seems very cheap.
Are you sure its the Prodrive kit with the adjustable mounts, extra wiring, completed loom, relays etc ?
You can buy the light separately but all the above will have to be sources / made to complete the kit.
Slow boys quite correct - 120 watters in PIAA's - some peeps up this to 130 W.
I found setting them up very easy.
It took 2 attempts. I left the mounting bracket main bolt "just tight", drove to a pitch black car park and altered the lights by hand.
I then removed them and "fully tightened" the main bolt then replaced. Something must have moved slightly after the FT bit as one was slightly out - so I just repeated the process.
I've heard horror stories on set up, but I found it a painless enough.

Chris

Quick tip - when setting up take a battery drill with an extension and 10 mm socket - saves loads of racket work

Cheers for that. You've got me wondering about the price now! I'll check it out with another dealer.

Question

Look carefully: there are now TWO sets of OE driving lights avaialble through dealers. The first are the well regarded PIAA's who's only drawback is the unavailability of clear protective covers.
The second are based on Hella 1000FF units, are goood lights, have clear covers available through Scoobysport, but are a right pain to set up:, and can suffer from vibration.

You pays your money.............
