Question

If TSL can't help you directly, they'll probably point you at whichever one they use.

nice one

basically the ciggy lighter/ electric mirror's keep popping the fuse.

I thought maybe some water had got in, but on checking could see nothign ovbious, and garaged the car for a few days (it was nice and warm in there) to see if it would 'dry it out' ..

I dont know where to start, and a locla chap in beeston (nick ince) said he wouldnt want to touch a subaru..

how much more info do you require?

thanks

Take the fuse out and stick an ammeter across the fuse connections.
Then operate in turn the ciggy lighter and mirrors in each direction.
Each should show the discharge on the meter but the one that is popping the fuse will show a greater reading ( as in more than the fuse is rated at )
If its the cig lighter it can only be the lighter thingy
If its the mirror it could be a faulty motor or a trapped wire that is shorting somewhere.

hope this helps

Sorry for the wait, i have been away this weekend.
f the fuse blows straight away then there is a short to earth between the switch and fuse, otherwise as big500 says to find which switch operation causes fuse to blow. If you are still struggling i will have a look if you like.
