I fitted the xenon bulbs in june (my03sti) and offside main beam went 2 weeks ago. I've just fitted a new one (foc return from triplus) and it's gone again within a week.
i didn't touch the bulb when fitting ... any ideas ? or crap bulbs ?
- mark.
PS ... they're good when they work

What type of bulbs are they?
The main things that make halogen bulbs go are poor connectors, causing arcing and premature bulb failure, and overvolting, which is unlikely, given that your other lamps are OK.
Have you thought of trying Philips Vision Plus bulbs?

Looking at those bulbs makes mer realise why I don't like higher wattage bulbs: just look at the "blueing" on the metal below the glass envelope.
You can see that they are running overhot, and the filaments suffer as a result.
I'd be inclined to stick to a PVP, or similar WELL KNOWN brand.
