For the ultimate, try Scoobysport's HID ones. I've NEVER seen any better, and that includes 4 x 100W Cibie Super Oscars on a rally Escort!
Yes, they're dear, but....................:
They use Hella 1000FF units, but a different mounting to those on the Prodrive kit, more secure, no vibration, no setting up etc.
After that come their Cibie kit, and the PIAA ones sold by Scoob dealers, if still available.
WHATEVER you get, budget for some covers, clear, to protect the lenses. Scoobysport for Hella/Cibie, OE Scoob foglight covers turned through 180 degrees for PIAA.

They look Ok, but watch out for lights with high powered bulbs using the "H2" fitting. There have been reliability probs in the past, with the heat from the bulb causing bluing of the holder, this in turn causes a bad connection, which leads to arcing, and premature bulb failure.

Oooops! I think you may be confused here. The early frosted type lens on the '98 cars were FOG lights, and the clear ones on '99 onwards cars are also Foglights.
Are you intending buying some of the clear foglights, or some actual DRIVING lights?
Foglights are, IMHO a total waste of space, time, and money, and I don't know why so many manufacturers insist on fitting them.
A good set of driving lights on a Scoob, are, on the other hand, a very good way to spend some of your hard earned.

Don't worry ! I'm not confused at all....
I intend to replace the frosted fogs on my car with some decent driving lights...
However, I'm simply saying that the clear lens 'look' appeals to me more...
Does that make sense ?
