Rear fog lamp switch
#1
Upon driving yesterday night, I noticed that my rear fog lamp switch is not illuminated, whereas the front fog one is.
Is this normal, as I believe that the rear fog lamp is more important than the fronts, therefore why is this switch not illuminated? However, when I turn them on, the orange lamp lights up (just above), it's just the button in general that is not illuminated....

The bulbs are quite small.
You have to take out the switch and then you will see some black or grey circles in it that have a screwdriver slot in. These are the bulbs. Give them a quarter turn and then they will come out.
As to where you get them, I don't know.

I got a bulb from my Subaru dealer - cost about £2.95 but far easier than the model shop wheat grain bulbs I have read about that require cutting and co-ercing into place. Prise the switch out, give the bulb a quarter turn and replace with new bulb
Easy!

Does that mean that my mirror control switch & front lamp washer spray button bulbs also went because they too are not illuminated and can't really remember if they were or not.....
Same goes for the window lock switch that is located near the window buttons....is this one supposed to be illuminated or not?
Just asking as I would replace all bulbs on my next checkup.

At the bottom you can see where the bulbs are. Also some info on replacement bulbs.

Thanks, I tried to get the bulb out of the rear foglamp switch and totalled it completely now.
Upon trying to open the case (to reach the bulb) I ripped off a chip from the small circuit board...result it doesn't work anymore :-))
Now I have to buy a complete new switch, so I better not touch the headlamp washer one and leave it to somebody more experienced....
