I have got a black WRX import have had it for 3 months. In the last couple of weeks i have been experiencing a few problems. I was wondering if anyone has also had these troubles and whether they are linked. Firstly my stereo has stopped playing but there is power there and the EQ is still showing that there is sound. My rear screen heater has stopped working. I have got a ticking noise coming from the dash board and my main electronic drivers door lock won't lock with key or remote . Any suggestions welcome please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how old's your motor?? I've got a 95 wrx and the radio cuts out occasionally, but the cd player still works, quite weird. my door lock's gone a bit stiff over the last few days, probably just needs a squirt of wd-40, my heated screen and boot light don't work, must be where the wires go through the boot lid (5 door) and lastly the rear wiper doesn't return to the parked position. Looks like my weekend's sorted!!!!!

If this is of any help look at the Door lock timer in the passengers foot well as it might be full of water from what I gather it's quite common you will need a 10mm socket to get it off then the unit pulls apart see if it's got any water in as that was one of the problems I had with our car like the doors wouldn't lock then they would lock and unlock them self’s.

i had the same problem with the rear screen heater and it was the relay at the end....
i had clicking noises in the dashboard....solution....central locking relay

cheers for your help and comments, will have a look at relay today and also try passenger foot well- it has been pissin it down lately where i am. ps its a 95 wrx-dirty wrong'un.
