Question

I was driving back from the N.E.C last night (light rain - pitch black )I was strugling to see more than six feet in front of the bonnet, - I have a standard 98 Terzo.

Question - What would be the best( legal )bulbs to buy ??,(I was tempted to use full beam all the way home...)

Unless you want to spend hundreds on HIDs or risk your wiring with illegal 100watts the PVP are the way to go.

Question

You have checked that your lights are aligned properly, haven't you?
I once saw a demo on a rally car, carried out by Cibie. They deliberately set the lights slightly "off", let us all look at the result, set 'em correctly, and the result was like having two extra lights fitted.

Here's my 2p's worth.

Standard scoob lights, as you have found, are tosh.

Uprated bulbs from powerbulbs may help, think I have phillips vision in mine.

You might want to consider getting quad headlamps, eg; morettes, as then you have four lights instead of two, plus add in uprated bulbs, or even HID has discharge then you're really looking at daylight!

I hated my poor lights so went for the quads and uprated bulbs, much better than before I must say.

Wink

A friend of mine has a Citreon and he was moaning in the pub to me about the lights and on about dismantling them, removing diffusers and all sorts of things technical. Told him to forget all that crap and to go to powerbulbs.com and buy some PVP and if they didnt improve I would pay for them and have them as spares. He did and was stunned at the improvement and posted it on a citreon newsgroup as they all had the same problem and now most of the guys on there run them as well. Shame I wasnt on commission .

BTW he didnt let me have them as spares though .

Like I said earlier you can buy HIDS but we are talking a 20 quid mod, anyone get me a set of HID for 20 quid please .

Unhappy

I have a MY00 which should have upgraded lights and I consider the damned things bl00dy dangerous!! Add some drizzle to a dark night, throw in some twisty roads and drive the Impreza at half its capability and you are lucky to get out alive!!

I really do think Subaru owe everyone a favour and should post us some decent bulbs!!!
