However what I would realy like is a compleatly smoked rear cluster as I have a black MY93 WRX and have already changed the fornt indicators and am just waiting for the back to catch up
has anbody seen these or know anywhere I can get them from ??
Alistair
P.S. please don't sugest doining it myself with those poxy spray cans of tint as I did this on a previous car and it all gradualy peeled off loking completely naff from day one

Hi,
Have you seen my mod using the 'poxy' cans of tint spray..... the proper way to do it, is to apply a clear laquer over the tint to seal the paint and to prevent it from peeling off...
I was quite pleased with the results...!! There is no other company out there that offer a tinted rear light anyway....!!

Wow looks good perhaps I should give it another go with the Tint then
Do you need to key up the surface of the lights at all to get a perminant finish or is the laquer enough ?
also what is the law on tinting the brake light as well? as there are aftermarket completly smoked lights for things like the VW Golf?
While we are on the sbjesct of rear lights has any body put the fog light into the rear cluster on an import and have some advice on doing this

I moved my fog light into my rear light cluster on Sat. Easy job - rewired the bulb holder with the two wires from the fog light, just painted the inside of the clear lens to red and put in the fog light bulb - hey presto.

AliG,
Just give the lights a real good clean... you can give them a slight rub with some wire wool or something.... but i wouldnt bother if you want the tint removed at some point which it can be...!!
I think you need to have a reflector some where at the rear so you could do the whole light as long as there is a reflector stuck on the car at the back somewhere...
Glad you like em..

Well I took your advise and it looks really good just tinted the orange areas and it looks so much better I am letting the laquer dry for a couple of weeks as stated on the can and then they can be pollished and should look even better
well pleased at the moment lets see how long it lasts

I want some clear/red Sti rear lights to replace the dull standard orange lights.......but also want to keep the fog light.
Looks like I'll have to do what SDUKES did..........personally I won't have a clue what to do so do you lot think someone like "Revolution" will fit the lights and paint the fog light for me?
Cheers!

SDUKES: Cheers for the advice but the term "thick b@stard" comes in handy when talking about me and anything electrical.......I'm sure a garage will do it for me right?
Got any pics of your lights?

IF it helps chaps, when doing STi rear lights we have a purpose made RED fog light bulb. We wire this into the OS reverse light holder. So fog light but no red lens
Cheers
