Unhappy

Lookin to hard wire my Snooper. How do I get to the cig lighter wires ?!

Centre console is pretty deep makin it impossible to get to them from the back. Does the cig lighter socket come out forwards to reveal the wires ? If so, how ?

A quick shortcut is to take a constant live feed from the map reading lights and turn on/off the Snoop manually, takes less than 10 mins from start to finish and is tidy too.

Assuming you stick your Snoop up next to your rear view mirror, like mine.
A bit more discrete up there imo.

dont fancy it up there thanks - got it in bottom drivers side corner of windscreen - picks up signals fine from there.

ideal cable route behind centre console, along bottom of plastic above the pedals and up the foam insert next to the door to the dash. just need to get to the back of the cig lighter and dont know how...

s5 now hardwired. Dash removal instructions from scoobymods were spot on. Dont be afraid to tug to release the clips either side of the steering column - pull straight out towards the seat.

Wirin's obviously different to yank models. Dont be tempted to take the ignition feed from either fog light - they're light dependant (doh !). On my MY99, ended up takin the feed from the middle one of the three blanked off plugs which are taped together near the bonnet release - only one live in there and its ignition fed.

Looks v neat and works well...
