Key won't work/can't get my 2004 Forester to start pls help!
I have a Subaru Forester XT 2.5 Turbo 2004 (54 reg). This has been tucked away at the back of our warehouse since 2019 (I think). Come to get this going again just over 4 years later and I can not get it to start!
I’ve replaced the car battery and the battery in both keys – I’m thinking the keys have lost connection with the car over this time or something similar? The button on the keys won’t do anything – so they won’t lock or unlock the car and therefore I’m assuming they are not disarming the immobiliser.
I can lock and unlock the car using the key in the door and with the key in the ignition all the dash lights and stereo etc. come on but I can’t start the car. Any ideas please!?
Note; this is the key with the inbuilt button, single button.

Sounds as if the keys have lost there connection to the Sigma Alarm (M30) due to the batteries going flat.
Do you know the alarm PIN?? If not then you will probably need to contact a Scorpion/Toad/Alarm installer.
If the alarm PIN hasn't been changed since new you can probably get it from Subaru UK via a dealer.
Do you have a copy of the alarm user/owners manual?? Have attached one just incase.
It includes re-registering the key fobs back to the alarm but only if you have the PIN.

Thanks, I've never used the pin and I havn't owned the car from new so i don't know it - there is a 4 digit number on the label on the back of the key but i've tried that and it dosn't work....?
Should i just google my nearest dealer and ask them for help you think?
