Track day today??
#2
I went along today for a look and It was a great day,and well run.
Turbo was there is his legacy and it was mostly MX-5s and a golf, an integra wrecked his clutch and a sprint prep'd rs turbo broke his clutch cable but they were the only casualties.
One of the instuctors took me out in my RB5 gor a few laps, Just a few laps with an instructor can make a serious difference to the way you set the car up for corners.
Good fun, top day!!

Got back in one piece OK . Coming into a small town near home the cops had a car pulled in to show him their hairdryer at a new spot for them . Lucky I had vented my frustration already for the day .
It was a good day & well ran . Only about 10 cars down which meant plenty of track time . I was out with a V8 SD1 rover vitesse which retired with d/shaft problems after 2 sessions , a 1.8 integra vtec - clutch after 2 laps ( he was going to have a big off anyway - didn't listen to the drivers briefing about lines through corners ) and a golf GTI well driven by an ex kart racer .
On one session they sent out 1 of the MX5's with us and after I had to let him past ( blue flags ) I was able stay with him . I was catching him on the corners but he was leaving me on the straights . Not bad for a car with similiar bhp but twice the weight of an MX5 . Oh for a turbo .
Contrary to what I was told the track is easy enough on tyres . I fitted new std discs with EBC greenstuff pads and changed to castrol racing brake fluid last week and didn't experience any fade . Maybe I just wasn't trying .
It will be good to hear all the scoobys going round it .
BTW Paul - I was getting complements on my exhaust note .
