Does anyone know who's doing reasonable quotes
for scoobies in Norn Iron at the moment, it up
at the end of the month.
Car - MY00 classic turbo
Driver - 32 years young and counting, full NCB, no points
Last year I payed about £1200 from hughes, and it was the
cheapest by far (I think it is a Norich Union policy),
which has been fairly constant over the last 4 years.

Hi,
Listen, call Endsliegh on 02890 243779 and ask for Kerry. Dont forget to tell her that Shaun Brady pointed you off in her direction cause my insurance in due again in a couple of months.
Endsleigh were cheapest only last year for me, but they were able to reduce my premium by £400+ wing-*****.
They've got a new deal setup which offers clean drivers a good premium.
To give you an idea, i've an STI7 MY02 and am paying a slight bit more than you are for the MY00.
Hughes were ok a few years ago for me, but then Elephant managed to beat their price into the ground, then Endsleigh came along and struck the deal!
Give her a ring.
Shaun

Just one thing, which may not be a factor but...
I went around lots of folks last year for my UK STi. Elephant were best but Endsleigh said they might be able to come close. They came pretty close and I went with them as they have an office I can go into etc.
One evening, some time after I got the policy and for reasons I can't explain, I took a look through the small print and found that the car was only insured for 7,500 miles per year!!!
At no point did I discuss the possibility of a limited mileage policy nor was it ever mentioned to me. It was never pointed out to me that it was a limited mileage policy and this fact lurked in the very small print about 2 paragraphs from the end of about 3 pages of small print.
I wrote to Endsleigh and they replied very quickly saying that the mileage limit on the policy had been removed so there was no difficulty in resolving the problem, I hope. I have no reason to believe that this ever happened to anyone but me, however certain questions were raised in my mind and it is something worth watching out for.

First time posting on NI SN as I have just bought my first scooby MY99 and have just paid £1240 fully comp age 30 6points. I would reccomend a couple of places. Endsleigh are very competitive but do not get an online qoute, mine was £18500!!!!! but was phoned a few days leter and offered at £1490. The cheapest I was able to find was from Fulton and Downes in Coleraine who are a broker and I was covered by Prestiege. They normally only cover high risk/performance cars and the cover is excellant with roadside recovery free etc. Hope this helps

Yeah, Kerry at Endleigh sorted me out as well. My premium went up slightly from last year because "so many other Scoobies were insured with them recently", but they were still cheaper than others.

Whe it came to insuring the car they told me that Prestige the broker stopped insuring subarus anymore, so the cheapest i got them down to from another broker was £1500, bit pissed off but what can u do!

Ive got mine down to £960. 29 yrs old 8 yrs no claims.
the quote they gave me on the phone was about £200 more than on the website. I had to stay on the phone for a while before they could sort out the differences in the prices. Got sorted in the end. Dont always accept the first quote they give you.
