Anyone have one, im trying to find out how far back they go into the rear of the car

Very low, bottom hole on the side mounts - I'm 6ft tall though

Interesting to see these photos, do they connect behind the original seat belt bolt on the B pillar?

Yes they do which but you do lose the ability to adjust the seatbelt height.

I certainly wouldn't be putting one in my car with kids aswell mate.

I dont see why not, Ive had my son in his seat in the front of my car for the past couple of months now to observe how it moves and can safely say the seat wont budge and even under heavy braking he doesnt move either. Aslong as the harness bar isnt within arms reach then it wont cause a problem but you are entitled to your opinion.
