Default Clean your cabin filter

Owned the car for two weeks and working around the odd jobs.

Today's 10 minute job was the cabin filter .... Wooohhhh baby that was one dirty piece of kit.

Below is the new filter beside the one I took out, they both should be white

Close up

Ordered myself one after seeing this! Arrived today which is fantastic for a fiver. The video helps and it literally took 10 minutes to do. The old was one BLACK and had a few wasps and a bit of straw stuck in there also. I feel healthier already ha. I believe they fit all newage models the same way

Got mine from my local motor factor, however they are a lot cheaper on eBay if you want to wait a couple of days for delivery

You'd be amazed how often this comes up - it's considered a difficult job but in reality it's not and it makes a difference

Spray the new one with Fabreeze before installing and don't bother wasting money on air fresheners!

Use the one in the link.
They were never fitted to classic's as standard. So if you are searching for that, thats probably why the price is so high. You can use the newage ones.

You mean one for newage?

If there not mean't to have them why is there a slot under the dash?

Or if that just so you can clean the metal filter?

Yes.
There just is. Look it up on the internet. Its like why do classics have an OBDII connector, but don't support it?
I've had 2 MY99 and a MY00, 2 with a/c 1 without. Not one of them have had a cabin filter. If you fit one now, you may feel a decrease in the efficiency of your interior fans.
