I think most will be unsure as to EXACTLY what you want to do?

Reading the first post, V1-V5 reads, to me, like you want to REMOVE a V1 dash and replace it with a V5?

Then the next line says you want to "take out the V5" ????????

So what ARE you doing?

And are you fully aware that V4 onwards dash has an electronic speedo? Therefore there are a LOT of wiring issues you'll have to solve? And NOT just the speedo/odometer.

It can, apparently, be done, but is a LOT of work

want to fit a v5 dash in my v1 got a hole v5 downer car so can get anything i need from it

will mainly be different plugs and different placement of switches, not impossible but not easy.

The change of dash from v1 - v5 is not simple and would require a world of wiring changes which would not be worth the hassle.
