hi,
ive just tried to install a electrical boost gauge as per the instructions supplied, but when i plugged it in and turned the car on the gauge just flashes and doesnt move from the bottom, the instructions says somert about the gauge not illuminating but nothing about it flashing.
the gauge is a GS-ET01 boost gauge from glowshift
any ideas

The flashing is a mode it has - it automatically and constantly cycles through 10 different colours. If you press the "colour change button" successively, you can choose from any of the 10 colours, so that it remains on that static colour (not cycling).
Re. the needle not moving: if this happens when stationary, then that's normal. The engine has to be under load - i.e. the wheels rolling; ergo, driving & opening the throttle! - for the needle to register boost.
If the needle doesn't move when driving/accelerating, then you've either wired it up wrong, or one of the vac lines of the system has popped off. Check all vac connections, from IM (or T-piece), via the electronic module, all the way to the back of the gauge. Make sure you use a narrow cable tie on all vac pipe connections, pulled really tight.
