The flashing is a mode it has - it automatically and constantly cycles through 10 different colours. If you press the "colour change button" successively, you can choose from any of the 10 colours, so that it remains on that static colour (not cycling).

Re. the needle not moving: if this happens when stationary, then that's normal. The engine has to be under load - i.e. the wheels rolling; ergo, driving & opening the throttle! - for the needle to register boost.

If the needle doesn't move when driving/accelerating, then you've either wired it up wrong, or one of the vac lines of the system has popped off. Check all vac connections, from IM (or T-piece), via the electronic module, all the way to the back of the gauge. Make sure you use a narrow cable tie on all vac pipe connections, pulled really tight.

BTW, for the chance of getting more responses, best to post ANY kind of Subaru-related QUESTION in the Technical > Subaru Modifications > General Technical forum... :)

Wired up wrong (recheck instructions/your wiring)... or a faulty unit. :(
