All you really need is a boss kit for your specific car, then you should be able to fit pretty much any aftermarket wheel you want. Genuine Momo or OMP ones go for around the £45 mark, but there's cheaper ones on the auction sites if you like shopping around.

I'm pretty sure the ones marketed as only suitable for classic 92-00 will also fit new-age, but hopefully someone will correct me if that's not quite right.

No insurance company is going to agree to you disabling the air bag system in your car, and likewise it's not a modification to 'improve' - make safer let's say. But who gives a flying ****? Swap the wheel out and stop driving a HGV

In all seriousness, the SRS units on most cars do degrade with time, and there is plenty of manufacturer's small print that suggests we should have the stuff inspected, replaced, after so many years, blardy blah.

I could not go back to 350mm + diameter wheel that's for sure.

My preference was a 320mm dia Momo Tuner, which harks back to the sad bad old days of Capri's and E30's for me

But most Momo and OMP wheels are marketed at 350mm dia, with only a few at 330mm - it's really down to your choice and wait for it, "style of driving".

Try a Sparco 'Ring' - that's a 330mm wheel - Momo hub is available with a resistor kit - go to someone like Graham Goode as they know the right type. Swapping wheels is a easy but it's the horn/ air bag connection 'tape' thats the ache, as it needs to be butchered to suit the new hub.

Iv been looking at the Momo team wheel which comes at 280 or 300mm

same sort of wheel as in my first car... A swift gti which was like a go-kart.

Thinking will be a good size as I live with country/back roads.

So 280 or 300??

Boss kit:

Works Bell Standard Boss Kit 115 Subaru'

A bit more expensive than the usual OMP/Sparco/etc but worth it.

Comes with all wiring to make sure airbag lights dont come on etc. Really good fit, and high quality too.

Then you can fit the steering wheel of your choice.

I personally rock out some JDM bling in the form of a Key!s racing 350mm buckskin wheel!
