Default Triple pod for facelift classic

Hi,

I am finally looking to get my Defi's in my car so need to buy a triple pod for them.

Need some advice on a couple of areas.

Will a carbon look pod look out of place in a standard classic interior?

What pods cause the least hassle when fitting? I'm ideally looking for something that will go staight in a match the standard colour with no trimming required. Not asking much I know. Lol. I'd settle for a colour match.

Has anyone purchased off eBay? Last pod I got off there was a rip off so very wary of cheap eBay items now.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Has anyone got a Zero/Sports pod in a classic that they can post pictures of. I like the look of these style pods in the newages cars but not seen one fitted to a classic. At over £100 for the pod it's a big risk to take so would rather see a picture before buying.

I don't have one, but have seen a pic and yes, they are nice. Nice money too

Mine came from Scoobymania, £80. It's a VERY good match for the dash.

Cheers for the reply. The price I think is just over £100 and then the delivery on top which is not too bad but I'd still like to see it before I pay for it.

I like the style you have there though as the top of the pod does not obstruct the gauges. Cheers for the picture.

This is the ZeroSport pod fitted to my P1.

This was just put into place without using the fitting kit, once I had put the fitting kit on it fits really nice with the dash and no cutting what so ever needed.

I bought it from here:

The ones that Scoobyclinic do are very good, but I'm not sure if they are available for 60mm gauges.
I have one of theirs for two 52mm gauges and it's a good fit, and looks nice.

I spoke to Scoobyclinic earlier and they said they do the Zero/Sports one which they said looks good in the classic which gave me the idea to get one. Shame they don't have a picture of it one their website but I'll ring them again tomorrow and have another chat. They said they do the 60mm ones as well so all good.

I had a Nomad pillar pod in my last car and it was a perfect fit. If I go got more than 3 gauges in the future I'd def use them again.

They were £110 + vat and then postage so pricey but worth it looks wise. There's a picture of the in an old issue of Total Impreza and they look really good. Making the most of being able to afford stuff like this while the car is off the road. Lol.

On the look out for Defi water temp or exhaust temp in 60mm white face green illumination if anyone selling. Ideally the ones without the black bit on the face. Total long shot but if you don't ask you don't get.

You said that the colour match for this pod was like factory. Was it sent like this or did it require painting. May get one as looking to get another gauge. Had a Nomad pod in my last car an i was very impressed by the quality of it.

Cheers mate. Not a bad price at all and they are a really good match.

Be a while though as I need to price up fitting an EGT gauge as it sounds way too much work for a novice like me.
