Default 3 gauge pod on blobeye

I am going to be fitting a triple gauge pod on my blobeye I will be removing the clock panel ontop of dash. Will it be ok to cut the wire for the alarm led then fit it into pod and re join wire. Will it not damage the alarm?
thanks

I did it - no problem. Alarm was fine afterwards.

Be careful cutting the clock wire though - when I did mine I cut all four wires together and in the act of cutting it brought the perm live and earth together which blew a fuse. I would take each of the 4 wires in the set that goes to the clock and cut them individually

why do you need to cut the alarm wire. just remove the outer sleeve on the bulb, drill the hole and feed the bulb through and slide over the outer sleeve over the bulb again............simples

On the one above there was a plastic bezel which the led sat in. There was no way to remove the led without cutting the wire.

My LED was glued in the plastic bezel sleeve - I had to cut the wire

You should have a sender with the gauge. Did you buy it 2nd hand?

no, all brand new of a dealer on ebay. got the relevant sender etc i think, instructions say to connect it to signal from car, but i dont know where to connect it to!

was going to use it on my fiat coupe, but got rid of that and picked up a blob wrx.
its got a racetech guage inm but i think it wont be very accurate, hence preferring to use my new one.
