Default Attention Type R and P1 Owners - Window Problems

On my type R, two sets of deep vertical scratches have appeared. I took the door cards off and its the window 'brushes' that seem to be causing it. Ive freed the brushes up but im wondering if anyone has a part number for them as once ive polished the glass out, ill cry if they reappear! so best to replace the brushes.

Also, when the windows are down fully, shutting the door causes an almight 'clang'. Ive spent about two hours trying to see if its hitting or theres some flex somewhere, but i really cant fathom it and i think my neighbours have had enough of doors being opened and closed continually. Ive spaced the runner out to push it close to the window as there was a little free place, tightened all the bolts up, spaced the speakers so they clear the door and nothing has worked!

Has anyone had similar problems?

Cheers all

Age old problem. Would be interesting to see if you can polish them out though.

I have exactly the same problem.

Argh nightmare, tried talking to subaru today about them but the dealership i phoned was uber unhelpful without a chassis number. Being an R it would be useless to them, so need to find someone with a P1 to get the part numbers..

Yeah will do a step by step if i get the clanging sorted as thats the priority, sounds awful having such a nice car, but if someone gets out the passenger door with the windows down and shuts it, it sounds like a knackered old van

So no one had the banging problem just the scratches?
